Linux Systems Admin

Skill Requirements

• Ideally 2+ year’s full time production experience in a Linux Sys. Admin capacity.
• Super high level comfort and experience with Linux/Unix operating systems.

High level of proficiency with:

• MySQL / PostgreSQL
• Excellent familiarity with shell scripting
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good familiarity with email services highly desirable
• Experience in Virtualization Technology: VMWare, Hyper-V, Xen,
• Familiarity with service-oriented architecture an asset
• Familiarity with DDOS mitigation strategies an asset
• CCNA or above
• Ability to learn quickly and comprehend new technologies
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with an ability to build relationships.
• Work effectively within a team environment.
• Experience with SIP proxies (OpenSIPS), PBXs (FreeSWITCH, Asterisk)
• Demonstrable experience of developing robust, scalable & resilient solutions
• Expert knowledge in Configuring, Asterisk and/or FreeSWITCH
• Strong understanding of VOIP concepts, SIP protocol, Soft-switching, Networking
• Working knowledge and experience in solving common VoIP NAT traversal issues SIP Call Flow, Transcoding
• Working knowledge and experience using NGREP/SNGREP, TCPDump, or Wireshark
