Responsibilities

The Systems Technology Group is responsible for the design, implementation and support of technology solutions for our customers, with a particular focus on industrial technologies and solutions, including but not limited to

As an integral part of the Systems Technology Group, you will lead the Implementation & Support Team.

• Networks (LAN/WAN/Wireless/Cellular
• Servers, physical & virtual (VMWare, HyperV)
• IaaS including Microsoft Azure & Amazon AWS
• Cybersecurity assessments, technologies & solutions

Responsibilities Of The Position Include

• Project Management
• Invoicing
• Business Development
• Proposal development
• Managing and developing client relations
• Mentoring and coaching Team Members in the following:

Configuration And Implementation Of

• Network architecture and devices
• Servers, physical and virtual (VMware, HyperV)
• Active Directory
• Storage solutions (SAN, NAS)
• Backup & Recovery
• Disaster Recovery
• IaaS solutions
• Cybersecurity assessments, technologies and solutions
• Maintenance and support of client systems
• Factory Acceptance Tests and Site Acceptance Tests
• Site start-up and commissioning
• Training
• Troubleshooting and support

We are looking for a highly motivated, self-starter, preferably with seven or more years of hands-on experience in IT with a primary focus on infrastructure & networking. The successful candidate must have strong written and verbal communication skills and have experience with technical writing. Previous experience supporting external customers and managing multiple projects would be preferred. A successful track record of managing complex IT projects on time and budget is also required. The successful candidate is not required to have leadership experience however the successful candidate will have the desire and competency to manage a team of up to five or more. Training for leadership and mentoring will be provided, at the end of the day the successful candidate will develop successful technical solutions for our clients and lead their team through implementation and support.

Due to the nature of the work some clients may require background safety clearance checks.

An educational background in Information Technology is required. Any valid (current) certifications such as CCNP, VCP, MCSE, CISSP, ITIL, RCDD would be considered an asset.

The position reports directly to our Systems Technology Group Leader. You will also be supported by a team of dynamic technology specialists who are specialized in network design, systems implementation, and industrial control systems. You must be available for on-call support if required to support our many external customers. Other responsibilities may be assigned or modified as required.
